Administration & Staff
Who We AreAll staff hired at JPGMA go through a rigorous vetting process. We strive to hire the best teachers in each area to work with the children at the Academy. Teaching is a vocation. The ability to work with multi age groups is both a great gift and responsibility. Each staff member is required to have a background check and is approved by the Head of School, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors.

Growing up, Gigi always knew that she wanted to be a teacher, often wrangling her siblings to be students in her make-believe classroom.
After graduating from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, New Hampshire, she attended Rivier College, a small Catholic College, in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she received her undergraduate degree in elementary education. She taught sixth grade in Burlington, Connecticut, before being asked if she would take over the school’s talented and gifted program. Over the next three years, she taught gifted students during the school year and then spent the summers in between taking concentrated classes from the University of Connecticut resulting in a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Gifted Education.
It was during her studies at the university that she learned that the Department of Defense was striving to implement a gifted program in every DOD school worldwide, so Gigi applied for a position, was offered a job at a U.S. Air Force Base in Germany, and launched a program there. During the time that she was stationed there, she met her husband, Dean, an F-16 pilot in the Air Force. Eventually, the two married, began a family, and Gigi made the transition from classroom teacher to homeschooling mum.
Thus, over the course of thirty-three years, traveling to seventeen countries on four continents, moving sixteen times, and homeschooling all five of her children, Gigi is delighted to be settled finally in one place! Since moving to Winchester five years ago, she has sponsored four OCIA candidates into the Church, graduated from the Catholic Biblical School, and is the Anchoress of the Seven Sisters Apostolate for one of Arlington’s priests. At home, she enjoys time with her children and grandchildren, taking lots of photos of every event and creating memory books. She loves all kinds of games, planning over-the-top birthday bashes, and has dreams of designing and building a house (okay, so maybe one more move😉).
Having two of her children teaching at JPGMA, Gigi could not resist the wonderful opportunity to join them and return to the classroom. She will be teaching math and is excited to become part of the JPGMA family.
