Who We Are

All staff hired at JPGMA go through a rigorous vetting process.  We strive to hire the best teachers in each area to work with the children at the Academy. Teaching is a vocation.  The ability to work with multi age groups is both a great gift and responsibility. Each staff member is required to have a background check and is approved by the Head of School, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors.

 

Quinby Owen Finch majored in Philosophy and the History of Mathematics and Science and minored in Classical Studies and Comparative Literature at St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD. She continued her studies at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Washington DC. After working as an English and Mathematics tutor and teacher, Quinby spent 17 years homeschooling her four children and helping her husband with his timber framing company, Finch Woodworks. She is grateful for the opportunity to join the community at JPGMA, and has two children enrolled in the school currently, one in Elementary and one in Upper School. She loves to coach and play soccer, go on outdoor adventures, read classic literature, and cook nourishing foods.
