Who We Are

All staff hired at JPGMA go through a rigorous vetting process.  We strive to hire the best teachers in each area to work with the children at the Academy. Teaching is a vocation.  The ability to work with multi age groups is both a great gift and responsibility. Each staff member is required to have a background check and is approved by the Head of School, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors.

 

Becca receives so much joy and light from serving young children in toddler knowing that they are like sponges absorbing the true, good, and beautiful that a rich Montessori environment has to offer. In 2004, Becca graduated with a BA in photography from Troy University, and then spent 3 years as a FOCUS Missionary at George Mason University. While serving as a missionary she was introduced to the Montessori method and received CGS Level 1 certification. She has been an assistant in Montessori Primary and Toddler environments around the area for 10 years since then and has also enjoyed some sabbaticals to be home with her 4 children. Besides working with children, she enjoys finding and creating beauty in nature, art, and home, and loves to be with family and friends.
