Administration & Staff

Who We Are

All staff hired at JPGMA go through a rigorous vetting process.  We strive to hire the best teachers in each area to work with the children at the Academy. Teaching is a vocation.  The ability to work with multi age groups is both a great gift and responsibility. Each staff member is required to have a background check and is approved by the Head of School, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors.

Johnny was born into a military family and moved around a fair bit until his family was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland. He later graduated from Towson University in 2015 with a BFA in art and design with a concentration in illustration. Since then, he has written and illustrated three children’s books as well as illustrated works for other authors, and has been teaching art for the last 4 years at the elementary and high school level.   He is passionate and knowledgeable about the natural sciences and loves to cultivate that same passion in his students.  In his teaching experience he has provided numerous labs, dissections, and activities that foster the natural creativity and curiosity of his students.

Johnny is a driven and detail-oriented artist who excels in teaching both creative and commercial aspects of art.   He has had experience in the writing, illustrating, and printing industry and will incorporate this into the Classical Art Curriculum JPGMA will be following.  Johnny has experience teaching Art from Kindergarten – 8th grade. He has 4 years of experience teaching science classes from 6th to 11th grade and enjoys teaching students of various ages.
