Administration & Staff

Who We Are

All staff hired at JPGMA go through a rigorous vetting process.  We strive to hire the best teachers in each area to work with the children at the Academy. Teaching is a vocation.  The ability to work with multi age groups is both a great gift and responsibility. Each staff member is required to have a background check and is approved by the Head of School, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors.

Dr. Matthew J. Mihalcin is an experienced consultant and advisor to the Federal Government. Matthew is driven to solve complex technical and operational challenges in the public’s interest. He currently serves as the chief engineer of a not-for-profit in Northern Virginia where he focuses his knowledge and leadership on topics at the intersection of economics and national security.

Matthew holds a Doctoral degree in Systems Engineering and an MS degree in Engineering Management, both from The George Washington University, as well as a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He has been an adjunct professor at George Washington University, George Mason University, Georgetown University, and St. Louis University.

He looks forward to contributing to the operational and financial health of JPGMA while maintaining and strengthening the culture and community for years to come.
